    What do the colors mean?

    Each copy of the CFI/CFII Book will come with a color guide that details how to interpret each color used in this book. The book is color coded by General Pilot regulations (for every pilot), CFI Regulations, CFII/Instrument Regulations, and AIM Chapters.

     What is tabbed out?

    The tabs are created from ASA’s suggested study list (found in the FAR/AIM itself). Not every single regulation found on the list is tabbed out (in order to prevent overcrowding the book with tabs). Instead, the most important and commonly focused-on regulations have been tabbed.

    Navigating the regs made easy!

    If you want to make finding subjects on the regulations easy this is a great product, especially for those individuals who don't have the time to place the tabs themselves.

    Excellent Resource

    Without tabs it can be hard to find the right section of the FAR/AIM even when you know that 91.205 is A TOMATO FLAMES. My only very minor complaint is that sometimes the dots used to locate the specific portion cover a part of the text, typically only a single letter or digit. A letter is typically easy to know (e.g. [dot]pproved = approved) , but a digit can be more significant (e.g. [dot]1 = ?thankfully, mostly the dots are simply covering the initial part of the section heading (e.g. §6 or §9) but it would be nicer if the dots were colored lines that fitted in the column break (e.g. I§61 where the I is like the bold line in the margin that is used to indicate changes from the prior version of the FAR/AIM but color coded to the tabs). The inclusion of the tab color guide is nice, putting it on a sticker and sticking it to the inside of the front cover would be even better.
